Can Sala is a perfect place to feel relaxed and at the same time connected with the world. When staying at Can Sala you have the impression of being “nowhere”. Still you are a step ahead of many emblematic of Catalonia. The road is twisty until Sant Gregori, but it is pleasant and not very long. Once arrived at Sant Gregori, without getting into Girona, you can easily take the highway.

GIRONA at 25 km

The city is crossed by 4 rivers: Ter, Güell, Onyar and Galligants. You can have a stroll in the old city, walk the city wall, visit the “Call” (the Jewish quarter), the houses bent over the Onyar river, the Arabic baths or the Cathedral, which has the world’s largest nave in Gothic style.

Its natural surroundings are also noteworthy: the Devesa park along the Ter river, the vegetable gardens in Salt and Santa Eugènia or the Sant Daniel Valley culminated by the mount Puig de Sant Miquel.

OLOT & LA GARROTXA at 36 km

It is a volcanoes area not far from the Llémena Valley, visited by tourists from around the world. You can visit the volcanoes, small villages, la Fageda d’en Jordà (a beautiful beech forest) and follow walking or biking routes. One of the most typical routes is the “ruta del carrilet”.

LA COSTA BRAVA at 53 km (the closest beach)

Littoral zone that goes from Portbou to Blanes. Full of beaches, crowded with beautiful creeks and large protected natural areas.

Natural areas to highlight: Parc natural del Cap de Creus, Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l’Empordà, Parc Natural del Montgrí, les Illes Medes and el Baix Ter.

Typical Mediterranean character towns: Cadaqués or Calella de Palafrugell.

Cultural activities: The Salvador Dalí’s footprint, the ruins of Empúries, the ceramic tradition of la Bisbal d’Empordà, medieval towns like Púbol, Pals, Tossa de Mar or Begur. 

All year long there are different festivals, popular village festivals and habaneras concerts along the Costa Brava.

FIGUERES at 59,4 km

Figueres is a well situated and communicated town famous for its Theater Museum Dalí. But you will also find the Museu del joguet de Catalunya (toy museum) or the Museu de l’empordà, amongst others.

CADAQUÉS at 88 km

Outstanding village because of its Mediterranean character that has inspired many artists.

Main points of interest:  Salvador Dalí’s museum-house, Natural Park of Cap de Creus, Cadaqués museum or the old town.

The International Music Festival takes place at the beginning of August.

BARCELONA at 125 km

Global city and capital of Catalonia. It has a huge cultural, financial, commercial and touristic importance. Barcelona has no limits, there is enough to satisfy everybody, excursions can be organized for different publics.

Main points of interest: the historical center and the Ramblas, the architecture, the many museums or the huge quantity of parks and gardens.
